July 2019 Adventure

Sunday July
28th, 2019

Today my body finally adjusted into the rhythm of Yosemite.  I walked to the village forgetting my walking pole.   I did not need it. The mile walk one way takes me over the bridge and through the woods and it felt like a short stroll.

Every cell in my body is now adjusted to the true rhythm  of the earth. I feel apart of this sacred and magical valley.  My recovered femur & hip  feel wonderful, no stiffness or pain.  The hollow wisp of the breeze feels and sounds like music.  I am in total peace once again in my beloved valley.

The river is calling and I will gather my fins, my water and hat and yes today an umbrella as the heat has increased as the day flows on. I make my way to the beach.

Slowly I emerge my body into the blood of the mother. Her ever flowing life giving river, infused with minerals and pure spirit running down from the mountain.

The river is still high and the snow run off fresh.. Freezing maybe even 10 degrees colder that last year. feels like high 40s and to cold to swim.

I accept the rejuvenation from mother earth and reply with silence and sacred prayer.

For I am bound to this place, pledged to protect her, cherish her and love her.  The breeze is my kin. The flowing river is my kin.  The beaming sun is my kin and the stars and the moon always remind me how amazing this life is and how honored and grateful I am to be here.

For there is no separation between us. Every cell, every molecule embraces the dance of life.  I am home and at peace in Yosemite.  Wrapped in my mothers arms. Sheila Z
